Hi everyone . Friday morning my waters unexpectedly broke . I’ve not gone into labour . I’m in hospital being monitored . I’m worried to death as you can imagine . Any positive outcomes from others on here ? X

I'm pregnant with my first so no experience here, but just saw this and wanted to wish you lots of luck and positive thoughts. You're in the right place and I'm sure they'll take good care of you and baby x

I don't have any story, but good luck, you are in the best place.

Hi Op
Firstly you are in the right place. My friend recently gave birth at 30+2 because her placenta fell away. Her daughter was kept in for 6 weeks and is now home and doing well. Lots of baby’s born after 30 weeks thrive good luck and take care xx

Hi, we have a prem baby group on FB. Join us. ‘Parents of Preemies Support UK.’
Have you been given steroids?
You are at a very good gestation btw. Most 30 weekers with steroids have excellent outcomes. By which I mean once they are stable, they thrive and grow up without any serious delays.
The Bliss website is an excellent source of information as well.
I had a baby at 26+5 weeks. He spent 9 weeks in Hospital and is now 18m and running around like a lunatic and talking up a storm. He’s a LITTLE unusual for a 26 weeker but to start catching up with full term pals is not unusual for 30+ weekers.

No personal story either, but just wanted to say hang in there and babies are more resilient than we sometimes think. I know two who were born around 30w, one is a boisterous, brilliant toddler and the other is a successful lawyer. Fingers very much crossed for you.

My friend’s waters broke at 27 weeks and her baby wasn’t born (induced) until 36 weeks. Hope it is similar for you.

Belliniteeny · 04/06/2018 23:38

How is it going op?

LBNM19 · 05/06/2018 00:06

Hi, my water's broke at 27 weeks and my son was born at 28 weeks. Only kept him in 6 days and we both got an infection. Main sign was he stopped moving. They shouldn't keep baby in past 34 weeks when your waters have gone.

If baby is born soon then he or she will go to nnu which is a difficult expirence.

Hope everything goes as well as possible. Xx
