Scan Photo! Nub Theory - Boy or Girl? Guesses!

This scan photo is from my first scan on May 30th. I thought I was 12 weeks but I was exactly 14! Before I fell pregnant I always said I'd love a little boy. However I've been convinced since the day I saw the test I'm carrying a girl. Lots of people who have seen my scan say boy because of what looks like could be a penis. However I'm still convinced girl! Also I see the '3 white lines' that are also apparently a sign of a girl?

I obviously actually don't care eitherway as long as baby is healthy! But it's fun to have a guess. We find out a week tomorrow what the sex is so I'll know pretty soon! What do you think? X

Wow, what a clear picture. My last DS was born in 1995 so scans were not as good then. The profile reminds me of my niece so I'm saying Girl.

Aww mirren3, I thought the exact same! The lovely guy that did our scan was a trainee too so I actually worried that our pictures might not be so good, but I clearly had nothing to worry about! Thanks for your comment :)

Looks like a boy nub in regards to the angle from the spine, it is more upwards than a girls normally is but thats only my uneducated guess from looking at nub theories from my scans 😊 congratulations anyway

@Angemum4 eek I can't wait to know! I'd originally said the same following the nub theory until someone mentioned the 3 line things. Constantly going back and forwards even though I'll never know until the scan haha! Thank you :)

I think girl

It is so hard to guess, i have a boy and two girls and currently 20 weeks pregnant with #4 who at 16 weeks we were told girl, will be confirmed at our next scan i guess as I'm still not sure. Have you got to wait long for your next scan it goes so slow doesn't it x

Nub theory it'd be a boy.. mine was very unclear and no nub to be seen! :(

@anm4 congratulations! no not long we go for an early 16 week one on June 11th so just over a week to wait! Otherwise it would be mid-July for my 20 week one at NHS, I can't wait that long I already feel like it's dragging felt like forever just getting to the 12 week one! X

Thankyou 😊, thats why we went to a private one as we were impatient but i think as i was convinced it was a boy i was more shocked than anything haha but aslong as baby is healthy then all is good but we have our 20 week one late on the 11th june! It Seemed like forever away. I tried uploading my 13 week and 16 week but i have only just joined and i dont have a clue how lol. X

Yeah I definitely will. Was certain I was having a boy (I've been right with my other two) but since the scan I'm thinking girl.. my preference would be boy but as you've said a healthy baby is all that matters. Congratulations on your pregnancy and scan.. such a clear picture! And two weeks ahead of what you thought! That's two weeks closer to holding your little bundle :)

@Gemsie1984 isn't it strange how you have such strong feelings about it! I really will be shocked if I'm told boy haha. Thank you! I know I couldn't believe I was so out with my dates! Roll on November now :) x x

Im due 16th October. I found out when i was already 10 weeks 😊. Good luck with your scan 😊 x

Hi how did your scan go? I found out baby is indeed a BOY!! So my gender scan was wrong in saying girl, my first instincts were right. Baby is all healthy. Hope your scan went well @aea27

My scan was yesterday and just as I thought - Baby Girl!!!! :-) so strange how I thought I knew. So happy she's growing perfectly, congratulations! x

Aw thats lovely glad all is well and i seriously think now peoples instincts can't be too wrong as i thought from day one boy and then gender said girl which completely shocked me haha, but no sure enough hes definitely boy! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and congrats again for your little girl. X
