Do I need to get checked out with these symptoms?

I’m 26+6 weeks with 3rd baby and 36 yrs old. Been having like a migraine since yesterday, with most of the pain in my left eye, been wearing sunglasses and taking regular paracetamol. Today the eye pain is the same but also feel really sick and have excessive thirst for water, feel too nauseous to eat. I’ve tried ringing the assessment unit for advice but they are constantly engaged. Do you think I just need to rest? It’s just me with my 2 DC at home right now.

It sounds like it's just a migraine but you need to be checked for swelling and high blood pressure just in case. Better to be safe than sorry. They may also allow you to take other meds on prescription for the pain for a short duration which will help so I'd absolutely get it checked.

Can you call the midwife or drop into a clinic? Worth getting blood pressure checked

Thanks both, I managed to get through to the assessment centre and they want to see me at 2:30 to get checked. I hate causing a fuss, wondering if it might be low pressure outside that’s causing the headache?

I've had migraines about once every 2-3 weeks during this pregnancy but no signs of anything more sinister, thankfully. I definitely don't think this weather is helping! I hope it all goes well for you later. Update us!

All good, had blood pressure, urine sample and on monitor they’ve sent bloods off aswell but happy to let me go with my sunglasses on. think your right this horrible muggy weather not helping, hope we get a proper storm this evening ⛈
