Awful endo sufferer prior to first child but it didn’t return. Now just had second child and pain has returned, agony. Does anyone know is this normal? Will the pain remain or will it get easier?

Help fellow endo sufferers! Did your endometriosis pain return after c section?

So sorry to hear you are in such awful pain. I’m not an endo sufferer myself however, after discovering a big infection due to retained placenta after a c section, would it be worth seeing a doctor just to ensure the pain isn’t related to the op/birth rather than the endo? Better to be safe than sorry...xx

How long ago was your c section?

barnacharmer · 02/06/2018 09:29

I think the scarring can cause more adhesions. I had a new pain after the c section settled that i still get 3 yrs later. Im certain it's adhesions from the scar

I've definitely got pulling and more painful ovulation since my section. Less painful periods though.

I'm 9 months PP and breastfeeding so haven't had a period yet, but am dreading the first one. I'm praying the endo won't return!

That’s the strange thing, it’s only 10 days since section so no periods yet. I’m wondering if perhaps it’s related to womb contracting or whatever when it shrinks back down?

Ah yes it'll definitely be that then, as well as the fact you've had 7 layers of body tissues cut through! :)

eurochick · 02/06/2018 12:48

Oh yes! You are still recovering from the surgery.

Loosemoose28 · 02/06/2018 13:08

It could be womb contracting back down plus new adhesions etc

My labour was the exact same pain as my endo, only difference was I then needed to push eventually. I dealt with labour the same as a period.

My LG has a massive feeding frenzy and I got some after pains at 3 weeks postnatal, it felt like that feeling of doom I get just before my period cramps luckily it never went more than that. So just be aware you may get it again.
