Hi booked an early gender scan for next week but can feel myself getting really anxious again. Did anyone have an early gender scan what was your experience?

I had one last weekend at 16+6 and it was amazing! I had two MMC last year so completely understand your anxiety with scans, I was petrified before my dating scan. It is my fourth DC though so I was feeling regular movements by the time I had the gender scan which helped my anxiety a lot. We saw him in 3D and I took my three DC along, the sonographer was lovely.

So sorry about your losses. Thanks I'm really excited but so nervous it's my 2nd dc and can't remember being so nervous last time I do keep feeling twinges like really low down /bladder area (sorry for tmi) not sure if that's the baby I can feel moving. I'm worried they'll find something wrong but then again think I'm just worrying way too much. The joys 😬

I really enjoyed my gender scan. It wasn't so much about the gender for me, but it was lovely to have a scanner who is giving you twenty solid minutes of "here is your babies feet" "here is her heart beating" etc and lots of lovely photos.

I found my scans at the hospital much more medically based (obviously they are meant to be) so it was a nice experience for me to have some one really show me my baby x

Yes I think it is the scans at hospital that worry me more so too they seem so intimidating in a way I know that sounds daft. I just want to know immediately that there's a heartbeat I work myself up for days before hand x

Tell the scanner then. Explain you are really scared and you want reassurance xxx
