BFP I'm terrified!

I haven't been too well the past couple of months and have been very sick - I have taken a few pregnancy tests and all negative. I bought another couple yesterday - BFP on both! I'm 9/10 weeks gone.

I'm shocked, anxious, scared and have no idea how the next few months will be. I have 2dc (9&5) and I only work part time because I'm a single parent. I have obviously had a partner but we aren't together although we will be talking and hopefully starting a proper relationship.

My house isn't big enough, my car isn't big enough, I'm skint and I'm scared.

I do quite a physical job which I have only just started in the last 3 weeks. I am on a 12 week trial period before I'm offered a contract. If I tell my boss I'm pregnant will they maybe not offer me a contract so they don't have to pay maternity? I am very much aware that she could stop my hours at any point and say no contract offer will be made - how likely is an employer to do this?

I haven't told anyone apart from dp

You won’t be entitled to maternity pay, you have to have been with your employer for 26 weeks by the time you are 29 weeks pregnant. You may be entitled to maternity allowance however, which I believe is less money (don’t quote me on that though). I wouldn’t personally inform your employer until you absolutely have to. If you are on a trial, they would be liable to say it hasn’t worked out and insist it is because of other reasons when really, it is your pregnancy. However if you are already 9/10 weeks along, you are going to be hard pushed to hide it for the next 9 weeks!

I’m sure your car is fine since most cars have at least four seats. You will find room in your house too. I hope your ex steps up. You will be fine Flowers. Book in with a midwife!
