Me and my other half been together 2 years and 2months. I got the implant in at 17 I'm now nearly 28 so 10 over years ago now, and only got it removed In August, so it was 6 years after its expiry date. We hadn't used any other form of protection in that time but I didn't get pregnant in 1year and 5months of unprotected sex but with a well out of date implant in my arm. Now it's been nearly 10months of no implant at all and I'm still not pregnant.
I was trying to wait a good few months after it was removed just incase it was still working somehow (even though the lady that removed it did say it would have stopped working years ago) but still nothings happening. I've delayed going to the doctors just because I didn't want them to say I hadn't been trying for a year with no implant in. But I'm sick of waiting and the dissapointment each month brings and the delusional hopefulness I get when I invent new symptoms or feel a flutter in my belly or think I'm one of those girls that just has periods throughout pregnancy. So I'm going to go to the doctors next week for a chat and see what comes of it.
Do you think they are likely to help me? Or fob me off to wait untill it's been a full 12 months with no expired implant in?
Im really worried there is something wrong. Surely there's no reason why I'm not pregnant after 2years and 2months without there being something wrong with me :(
