Never heard of that in pg tbh nadine - I would prob see if you could get an appointment for mon instead. Sounds like it might just be your old condition flaring up but I'd want it checked out anyway.

lulumama · 20/05/2007 17:03

might you have piles?

do you have IBS or IBD

if so, it can flare up, but often IBD is latent when you are pregnant

if scans are all fine, then i would presume it is a preexisting condition or piles !!

Hi nadinetd, I've not had it myself, but I have heard of it, usually caused by piles. I'd second what lulumama says. It sounds like it is due to your pre-existing condition also. When I was pregnant with DS1, he used to kick my bladder so hard I used to pee blood!

I have had this on a couple of occasions when I am constipated/stools aren't loose enough. I have a tendency towards this anyway, even when not pg. PG (I'm 33 weeks btw) does cause a sluggish digestive system and not enough water and not enough fibre can have the effect of creating hard stools which tear us slightly as they're passed. Best to get checked over with your doc.
