Is this normal? I don’t even know what it will feel like when it happens!

Normal. 18 weeks is about the very earliest a FTM would feel movement.

I’m 17 weeks and haven’t felt movement yet but I’ve read when it’s your first u can’t feel much till 20-25 weeks

It is normal, and even more so if your placenta is at the front (anterior) which is also common. For me the first movements felt a bit like swooshing in my insides - a bit like the butterflies you get when you're nervous. There was also some movement that felt a bit like wind moving around, but for me if it's wind it always produces wind Blush so I knew it wasn't! Now I can feel her more obviously tapping around but there are still some of the swooshing movements occasionally.

I first felt my baby at 17 weeks when I laid on my stomach over a pillow. It's a tiny flickering feeling at first so really hard to notice.

In the normal range although some freaks like me feel them earlier.

Early movements are often described bubbles. However for me I felt like it was wind but I knew it wasn't.

Also in my case I only initially felt them at night/early morning when I was still.

Normal! I felt my first around 18 weeks. Felt like tiny taps very very low down near my pubic bone.
My second I didn’t feel til nearly 20 because of an anterior placenta so it really depends on where yours is as to how early you’ll feel it.
You may even feel something in the next week or so and look back and realise you’ve been feeling it for days.

For me. When I first felt movements it was like a little fluttering

DanielCraigsUnderpants · 31/05/2018 19:58

And at about 20 weeks

usernotfound0000 · 31/05/2018 21:29

I didn't feel movement in my first pregnancy until after the 20 week scan. I've had them earlier this time but they are very subtle, so maybe I did have them last time but I just didn't know what I was looking out for.

They say 17-25 weeks. So you really should not start to worry. I have placenta at the front. Didn’t feel anything until 27/28 weeks. Then baby made it very clear they are there.
