I am currently 15.5 weeks with no.4 and I can feel the baby wiggling about, DH really wants to feel it, but hasn't yet. Its been 6 years since I was pregnant last, so have forgotten a lot of things.

DH (had he wanted to feel "my parasite" ) could've felt the DSs move at 17 weeks as you could see them kicking through my tummy then.

maisym · 19/05/2007 23:06

18 weeks& I can't feel any movement!

sparklygothkat · 19/05/2007 23:06

I felt a large boot a few minutes ago, but when DH came over to feel the baby he couldn;t feel anything

about 24-28 wks approx? depends on your build and size of baby really

PinkTulips · 19/05/2007 23:08

about 16 weeks with dd and about 13 with ds (felt them myself at 14 and 11 weeks respectively)

sparklygothkat · 19/05/2007 23:10

I am very slim and small, I have been feeling the baby for a few weeks now, but this weeks the movements are stronger

at being slim and small

i am liked a beached whale already and am not even 12 weeks (mental note to self cut down eating crap)

sparklygothkat · 19/05/2007 23:15

I have a bump already, which is scary as I didn;t show with DS (my first) till I was about 26 weeks. with the girls I was about 16-20 weeks before I started showing.

I remember being in hospital with DS, who was breech and a trainee miwife wanted to feel a breech baby, the midwife said to him ' we are very lucky as SGK is very slim and has strong tummy muscles and we can feel the baby easily'
My tummy muscles are not as strong now..

Try lying with the bump to his back. Think he may feel it more like that as it's more sensitive than his hands. But might be a bit early at the moment. Should remember really as ds is only 5 weeks old but have no idea when dh could feel it!

Jbck · 20/05/2007 13:24

DD kicked or punched DH pretty hard the first time he felt it, he was lying with his face against my bump on a Saturday night, I was about 22 weeks IIRC & she booted him v hard. He's convinced I had done it telepathically

Eaglebird · 20/05/2007 15:20

Maisym.
I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow, and I haven't felt anything yet either. Is this your first? This is my first. Apparently you may not feel 1st baby move for a few weeks yet.
Although today I'm sure I felt what I can only describe as a snoring sensation in my pelvic area. It came & went for about 5 mins.
It was probably just wind

MrsBadger · 20/05/2007 15:33

DH couldn't feel anything till the night before the 20wk scan, though I'd felt twitches (not strong kicks) for about a week beforehand.
I had a small bump and not much spare flesh round the middle though.

sparklygothkat · 20/05/2007 16:37

its my 4th baby.

Hi sparkly, my DH first felt our LO at about 19-20 weeks. HTH

MKG · 20/05/2007 18:00

With my first pregnancy my dh never felt the baby move. Ds was a little shy though. I would feel him move, grab my dh's hand and by the time his hand got to my belly ds would stop.

DaisysGotABigBump · 20/05/2007 18:09

LOL MKG...my bub has been the same...everytime DH pouts his hand on me, bub stops. The only time he feels anything is if I snuggle up to his back, then he gets kicked in the ribs......but DS has been able to feel the movements since about 24 weeks (this is No.2)

marieg76 · 21/05/2007 09:35

I'm 20 weeks and DH felt baby the first time about a week ago. I felt movement from about 16 weeks (it felt like an internal somersault!). DH and I were lying on the bed after a hard days packing boxes and he was on the phone to his dad. Everytime DH started talking, baby would give me a real boot. It was quite startling and DH was just delighted to be able to feel such definitive movement.

BabyMadwithBump · 21/05/2007 09:46

DH felt DS#2 "bubble feeling" "light kicks" around 13/14 weeks, this LO he felt move about 15/16 weeks!

betsycoe · 21/05/2007 12:35

Sparkly,
this is my first and I've been feeling very light movements since 14 weeks.

DH has been able to feel movements since 19 weeks +2. The baby seems to be very strong, 2 nights ago I was laying on my side in bed and it kicked so hard that the matress springs twanged!

Princesspowersparkle · 21/05/2007 13:45

Hi
I felt my first proper boot at about 19 weeks and then husband felt it a few weeks after that. Even now at 31 weeks he doesn't always get to feel it- baby always stops when people touch it! Maybe its a cat and likes to be stroked...
