Anyone else got a heightened sex drive at the mo?

Don't mean to sound like I'm showing off but my sex drive is better than it has been for a long time (currently 22 weeks pg.) I had heard that its something to do with ensuring your "mate" doesn't get any funny ideas and wander off. Anyway, I'm not complaining as I realise sex will be well and truely off the menu for a while in a few months time.

I think it is more to do with hugely increased blood flow to relevant areas than anything sociological

dp certainly nearly ran off as I was so scary so it did not have the correct effect if your theory is right

Yep me too! I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and have been extra interested for most of this pregnancy. Only thing is DH is too knackered as I've been keeping him awake with all my grumbling about not being able to sleep due to SPD....

I was bigger than him so he couldn't get away

and he said it felt different and HURT

Oooh yes am definitely going through this at the moment (21 weeks) and I remember it well from last time too.
Dp is not yet scared this time, but did become so last time, so it makes me to hear that other women have men reacting the same. He developed a nervous little laugh when he saw the glint in my eye and didn't know how to get out of it.

I like the expression 'second trimester horn'!! Lol.

Ye me too and am only 11 weeks. Had it last time round too - definitely make the most of it because it all dries up IYKWIM sooner after birth!
