Just found out and scared of what I've done; 19 weeks pregnant and drank the whole time

I'm really worried, I've found out I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I have been booked in for a scan next week but...
I have been drinking alcohol the entire time, I haven't gotten drunk or tipsy or fallen over, nothing like..that but it's just regular.
I drank a week lager at about 3.8 %, no spirits or wines but some nights it would be 2 and others/weekends or events would be 4-7 but it's most nights which is what's worrying me. I don't smoke, I go to the gym 3/4 times a week and eat a lot of meat and vegetables, spinach and vitamins etc..... I'm am hoping I haven't done any damage. Has anyone had any experience or done the same thing?
I've researched it...ALOT and read that what I've drank would be classed as a heavy drinker and because its continuous I'm more likely to have caused FAS 😥 But I haven't been drunk once, sick, fallen over, had a hangover etc...I'm stressing myself out and I'm so ashamed to have to tell me doctor next week what I've done
TIA

While I would never advocate drinking while pregnant, I don’t think you will have done any harm. My parents generation and generations before all drank during pregnancy because it was the norm and people turned out fine for the most part.

You’ve found out now and stopped drinking (presumably) and it’s still fairly early in your pregnancy. Don’t stress about it, have your scan and they’ll check baby’s brain development. It’s not like you’ve been pissed all the time.

Out of curiosity, how come you only found out at 19 weeks? Don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.

Try not to worry too much Thanks

You'll be fine I'm sure! It's good that you're worried as it shows you care Smile but I'm sure your baby will be fine. I smoked loads and had one or two weekends where I drank before I found out I was 12 weeks pregnant and I had a very healthy 8lbs baby girl a few weeks ago.. Born before her due date so she could have been even bigger!

Congratulations by the way! Flowers

i was worried that i was taking various medications before i found out i was pregnant, and my midwife told me that "around 50% of pregnancies are unplanned" so think of how many women are drinking, smoking, doing drugs, on medications, eating raw cheeses lool!! and probably 99% of those babies are absolutely fine. So please try not to worry, that wont help anything. Just try to make some serious changes now until the end of the pregnancy, get your pregnancy vitamins asap and continue the gym (but more gentle exercises) and being healthy :) good luck! im sure youll be a great mother xx

Thanks all for your messages, they are reassuring. I was worrying because I drank nearly everyday which is what I read causes the problems, that it was often rather than quantity. Like I said I never got drunk or drank spirits etc it was just larger but daily. I've got vitamins now and being as healthy as possible but I do wake in the night worrying.
19 weeks a an estimate between my doctor and I, I'll know for definite next week
