Hi can people please recommend the best prams. I have around 400 pound but as a first time mom not sure what I'm looking for! If any one can recommend the best prams for that price range please

I'm not sure what's around anymore but I found it useful to list your 'wants' and work from that.
So think about things like how small you need it to fold, if you want air tyres for bumpy/rough terrain, do you need a massive shopping basket etc.

It depends what you want to get for your budget really, I.e. just a pushchair or one with a carrycot or an entire travel system (including car seat) but it is probably worth looking at the Mothercare Journey.
Everyone will have different requirements depending on where you live, what you will use it for most (going into town, long walks in the country etc.) whether you need it to fit in the boot of a certain car or good for use on public transport etc. So best to go to a shop and/or baby show and try out as many different models as you can to see what suits you best.

I would highly recommend Cosatto. I have a cosatto giggle 2 travel system. It came with push chair seat, carrycot, car seat, changing bag and mat, raincovers. I paid about £350. It's still in perfect condition after over 2 years and I plan on keeping it for my next.

If you find one you like over your budget consider buying second hand. People pay silly money for prams but they do last.

jubbablub · 29/05/2018 15:34

You can get a bugaboo chameleon 3 for about £400 on eBay, so I would definitely go second hand or have a look on selling sites.

BlueBug45 · 29/05/2018 16:12

@owl89 you have to buy the car seat separate now, and they have gone up in price.

Muffin7 · 29/05/2018 16:42

I would recommend going somewhere like Mothercare and trying all the options, see which you like and if it is above budget go second hand. We have an iCandy peach tandem, it came with main chassis, carry cot, two main seats and all attachments and rain covers and was only £400 second-hand.

We have recently bought a cosatto giggle 2 travel system, it's usually £489 for the pram and carry cor but for £445 we got the car seat in as well. The baby event has just ended but it's worth looking out for deals in the future! Depends how far along you are!

The mothercare journey is very reasonably priced at £300 but the car seat isn't isofix enabled, if this is something you aren't bothered about then it's perfect. The only reason we went with cosatto was because we loved the pattern, the deal was great and it was isofix enabled. We got a little frustrated trying the journey in our car with the seatbelt!

I got a second hand Silvercross Surf from EBay for £90.00, and I bought a new colour pack also from EBay for £20!

I couldn't ask for a better pram!

New this was over £800 and the lady I bought it from, only used it a hand full of times.

Cosmoa · 29/05/2018 17:58

I agree with the above poster.. Cosatto giggle all the way! The travel system is more expensive than your budget at the moment but we got the whole lot for £425 (including car seat) so I'd keep an eye out for sales or good condition second hand Smile

Cosmoa · 29/05/2018 18:01

Just checked.. There is loads going on eBay. You can get the whole lot for £400 brand new! Or there's loads for auction.

TeaPleaseBob · 29/05/2018 18:05

I got an immaculate Bugaboo Cameleon 3 for £250 that’s barely been used. Definitely worth looking second hand

Charlottejade89 · 30/05/2018 09:26

Have a look on online4baby.com they have a big range of products covering a big price range too 😊 I am planning to buy a travel system from there and have found a lovely one for £185 as we are on a relatively tight budget
