Morning all.

I’m 17 weeks along and in the last few days I think I had felt some light movement....not 100% sure though - and whether I’m imagining it!!

This is my first, so I’m aware that might be a bit early.

When did you feel movement for the first time and what did it feel like?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Week 19, similar to little bubbles or butterfly wings. I'm telling this to reassure you as I was so worried and spending all time googling!

GlennRheeismyfavourite · 29/05/2018 05:38

Bang on 19 weeks

Chocarocker · 29/05/2018 07:38

17 weeks, felt like tiny little nerve twitches in my stomach.

snowy1982 · 29/05/2018 07:50

Currently pregnant with first, at 18 weeks I was in your position, thinking I was feeling little flutters but not sure, by 20 weeks I was sure it was definitely movement

SecretStash · 29/05/2018 07:52

14 weeks. He was a VERY kicky baby though! Never bloomin stopped.

surreygirl1987 · 29/05/2018 07:56

About 17 or 18 weeks... though I felt it earlier without realising what it was at the time- felt like tummy rumbling!

GemmaLL · 29/05/2018 08:07

Flutters/bubbles around 18 weeks for me and definate movements/kicks at 20/21 weeks. Everyone is different though.

SoyDora · 29/05/2018 08:08

17 weeks with my first, 14 weeks with my second and we’ll see what happens with my third!

randomsabreuse · 29/05/2018 08:11

My first definite kick was during my 20 week scan when the probe got booted a few times - ow!

BumbleNova · 29/05/2018 08:13

I think I felt baby move last night. Very weird sensation. I'm 18w 6 days and it's my first.

StylishMummy · 29/05/2018 08:23

21 weeks for me

Nothisispatrick · 29/05/2018 08:25

17 weeks. I found out at the 20 week scan that my placenta is at the back which is why I can feel so much movement.

Peanut91 · 29/05/2018 09:14

Pregnant with my first. Felt bubbles from about 17 weeks and just started feeling proper kicks ay 20+4

FirstTimeMummaB · 29/05/2018 10:15

I was 18/19 weeks when I properly felt a kick. It was like a massive muscle spasm lol it’s really hard to explain until you know!
When it happens you’ll definitely know :) x

alltalknobaby · 29/05/2018 10:23

15 weeks. Extremely active baby.

Winterfellismyhome · 29/05/2018 10:25

24 weeks here but im chubby :)

cookiesaurus · 29/05/2018 10:33

I'm 19 weeks and have yet to feel the baby. I had an early sex scan which showed that I have an anterior placenta do movement will probably take longer to feel. I can't wait to feel the baby move though! I'm becoming quite impatient!

PinkAvocado · 29/05/2018 10:35

Hardly at all the whole pregnancy due to anterior placenta being in a position to almost entirely mask every single movement.

owl89 · 29/05/2018 10:40

19 weeks and with an anterior placenta Smile

Jozxyqk · 29/05/2018 10:44

Around 12 weeks. DD was an extraordinarily active baby, right from the start. I was skinny though, not sure if it makes a difference. Midwife at my 12 week scan didn't believe I could feel movement until I correctly told her when the baby moved, & she could see it on the screen. It was a mixed blessing, towards the end - I just wanted to sleep & DD had other ideas. DD is still like the duracell bunny... and she's big, with very long legs.

Aw12345 · 29/05/2018 10:54

19 weeks to the day :-)

K9pal7 · 29/05/2018 11:22

I was 19 Weeks couldn't believe it as am a size 16 and wasn't expecting it. Now am 24+5 and she doesn't stop moving.
Bet you can't wait it's the most amazing feeling. Good luck and congratulations

brackeroo · 29/05/2018 15:34

First felt popcorn like feelings at 16 weeks. That's gradually grown stronger and now at 22+6 weeks it's definite kicks and punches pretty much all day! DH felt the baby move for the first time last night, and yesterday I could see baby moving in my belly too!

BlueBug45 · 30/05/2018 13:42

14 weeks - thought it was wind as it felt like bubbles but I went to the toilet, it continued over night, then again the next night and the next. The sonographers I had at my 12 and 20 week scans told me the baby was very active. I now randomly get kicks/punches that hurt at 25 weeks.

niclw · 30/05/2018 16:36

16 weeks for me with 1st baby. I wasn't 100% sure that I was feeling the baby move until it happened at the midwife used the Doppler on me a few days later. I didn't expect to feel it that soon either.
