Hiccups?

How often do your babies get hiccups? I am 29 weeks tomorrow and the little wriggler gets hiccups about three times a day - at least! She is generally really active, but feeling hiccups that aren't mine is totally odd.

DD had hiccups all the time when I was pregnant with her. When she was born she was a champion hiccuper as well - we couldn't make her laugh or she'd immediately start! (It was actually a bit depressing sometimes - can't make our baby laugh or she starts hiccuping...) She had a milk allergy and we thought it was related to that, but she's 4 now and still gets them frequently.

Currently 33 weeks with DS and he gets them quite a bit as well. Probably not as much as DD did, but I don't think that would physically be possible Grin

Three times a day sounds fairly standard to me. And I agree it's a bizarre feeling!

Oh it's like Chinese water torture sometimes isn't it!

I thought mine was hiccups but when my girl was born from the get go she does a rapping with her hand on what ever surfaces she's sleeping on and holds her ear and I know she held her ear in the womb because I have a 3D scan of it! Who knows what your little bean is up to! They are amazing xx

DS got hiccups in the womb but not that often and it would wake me up. I used to walk around to help them stop (don’t know if it worked or whether they just stopped anyway!)

Mine had hiccups constantly in the womb and now he's here (5 weeks old) he still gets them a few times a day!
