Rh neg question

Hi. I'm rh negative and I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in Dec. I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant but I didn't have an anti D Jab after my miscarriage.. Is this something I should worry about? Do I need to do anything?

Nope you don't need to do anything.

They will only give the anti d after 12 weeks anyway, before then there isn't a risk of being sensitised.

Nope, I didn't have the injection after any of my first trimester miscarriages and went on to have a healthy pregnancy. I was told it's not necessary so early on.

Nope, I am also RH - and only had my jab at 24 or 28 weeks (can’t remember!). I also had one immediately after birth.

I sympathise; I had an ectopic at about 8 weeks and didn’t have anti-D, I didn’t even think of it at the tile but afterwards when I fell pregnant again I worried for weeks.

But all was fine, there is such a negligible risk even in an ectopic loss before about 12 weeks so they don’t offer it. They know what they’re doing and would have given it if you’d needed it. But I know it’s hard to remember that at the time! I requested an extra blood test and my midwife obliged even though there was no real need - and all was fine x

As other posters have said normally within 12 weeks they don't but each area is different.

I'm OrhNeg and fell at 16 weeks so got the anti d, get my second tomorrow and third after delivery as hubby is O positive.
