Hi ladies,
So I am currently on the coil & have been for almost a year now I had a short but normal period on the 9th of this month (about half the normal time)

Then I had cramps from 17th May then spotting from the 19th then 2 days ago (22nd) something strange came out of me it looks like a sac and cord didn't feel like mucus either and I'm still spotting with some mucus blood I took a pregnancy test (abroad so it's a foreign one) which came up negative.. I'm away for a few more days so just want some advice if possible. I've attached a pic a bit tmi

Any help on what could be would be much appreciated

Hi, I fell pregnant with a copper coil in and miscarried a 4 week sac but it took about 10 weeks to come out. (I had a scan before I lost it so knew it was 4 weeks). It had all stopped growing before I even realised I'd missed my period. Doesn't sound like you've missed one but that short bleed could have been implantation maybe?
My coil came out at the same time as everything else. I had cramps and a fair bit of bleeding.
Your negative test could be correct even if you've miscarried depending on when things stopped progressing.
I would contact your GP when you get home and ask to be checked whether your coil is still there unless you can feel the strings.
The reason I ended up pregnant with mine in is because it had slipped down and left room above for implantation. My husband said afterwards that he could feel the strings poking him when we had sex but didn't think to say anything. Helpful! X

(I also had a miscarriage where I lost a 15 week pregnancy after waiting 6 weeks for it to come out so maybe mine take a while to come away.)
