I'm classed as plus size (size 16) I have already gained almost 2 stone at only 23weeks and this summer heat is already struggling.

What are other "bigger" ladies wearing in summer, or how are yous keeping cool.

Hareem trousers with tank top, 3/4 leggings and loose tunics and blouses.

I hate jeans so even skirts etc

Just be comfy

RosieCotton · 24/05/2018 16:16

Linen pants are saving my life at the moment. And so many tank tops. Lol.

Shredtheevidence · 24/05/2018 16:18

Leggings and loose tops/dresses are my saviour. But I am 38+1 today so not good a huge range of options left!

jellycrumble · 24/05/2018 17:30

I live in Harem pants, vest tops and very light cardigans / kimonos! Absolutely nothing else fits as I have a huge bump :(

Mindisboggled · 24/05/2018 17:47

Are yous buying maternity linen trousers etc?
I bought some elastic waist linen ones yesterday but when I put them on under my bump I had so much material bunch at my crouch it looks terrible

I'm going to die this summer I'm plus size and sweat like no tomorrow 🐳

Ebay is really good for maternity clothes if you are struggling to find much. I have just bought bigger t-shirts and refusing to buy anything else. Living in them and leggings lol. X

ISeeTheLight · 24/05/2018 21:07

I'm a size 18 and I wore clothes from New Look when pregnant. Cheap as chips and actually surprisingly nice! Under the bump shirt jeans, dresses, and leggings.

ISeeTheLight · 24/05/2018 21:07

short jeans

I'm 21 weeks and size 16, definitely harem pants (the lovely patterned kind) and a plain loose vest top or t shirt and sandals, or a tunic/long t shirt with leggings, and often a denim jacket Smile I have a 1 year old to run around after so definitely more practical than dresses etc Smile

SiolGhoraidh · 25/05/2018 09:03

I live in leggings anyway, so am wearing my pre-pregnancy ones with the waistline pulled down under the bump, and loose tunics over the top. I picked up a couple of pairs of second hand maternity linen trousers for the days when I want a change.

I've also got cheap maxi dresses and wear cut off leggings underneath to avoid chub-rub.

I usually really feel the heat but I'm having a very cold pregnancy, so I'm hoping the summer won't be too bad!

Newmumma2be · 29/05/2018 16:19

I live in primark dresses size 24, my bump is getting bigger now so they are good for stretching them also Haremm Jumpsuits from Ebay are good.

Mindisboggled · 29/05/2018 18:12

I had a look in primary the other day but only saw the ones that cling to every curve and crease rather than the lose flowy ones

I picked up a lovely floaty sundress from Mantaray the other day (Debenhams) it's not maternity but it's fitted under the bust (with a bit of stretch) and has loads of material that will fit even the biggest bump. That and some cropped leggings and vest tops are my life savers so far (21 weeks).
