Hi. I just had a fall down the stairs about and hour and half ago.
I missed the last 2 steps and it was a slight bump on my bum and grazed my elbow. I am feeling fine now and in no pain.
I was abit concerned about my unborn. I am 23 weeks and have been feeling movement today however after my fall i didnt feel my baby move for at least an hour and half. Eventually i had a hot drink and it seems to have started my baby off. I am now feeling him/her move quite a bit which is reassuring. Should I be concerned at all and book a check or do you think me and my baby will be fine? Anyone else been through this...

Many Thanks

Hi lass

If you are concerned then do give them a call to rest your nerves etc.

I had fall during that snow and knew because I am Oneg I needed Anti D injection.

If you didn't hit bump then probably all ok but if in doubt call.

Hope your ok!

I fell on my back/coxyx when we had the snow, pretty hard fall as I am still having pain with it but baby is absolutely fine 😊 midwife said to just monitor for any abdominal pain or bleeding and baby's movements. unless you fall onto your stomach it's unlikely the baby will be hurt as they are surrounded by lots of fluid to protect them x

I had a fall about 2 weeks ago, I was around 30 weeks and fell forwards onto my front! Luckily I must have subconsciously put my hands and knees out and managed to not hit my bump - although had some impressively grazed knees which are still healing!

I called triage straight after as I was unsure what the protocol was when you fall and with being in my third trimester, they weren't concerned as long as baby was moving and just said to keep an eye on things.

If you are worried I would call triage and just see what they say!
