Is it wise to go to the beach when 33 weeks

So I've been invited to the beach with some friends and family which is an hour away (herne bay) from where I live on bank holiday Monday when it's meant to be really hot ..so I struggle a lot with the heat and what to know whether it's wise to put myself through the hour drive in a hot car? Then sitting on a beach all day even though I'll have one of those sun tent things? It's still going to be hot then also it's a stone beach and I don't have any chairs so hardly going to be comfortable 🤦🏻‍♀️ How do I say no but actually have a good reason?

It’s entirely up to you! If you don’t want to then don’t.
I went to Spain at 34-36 weeks. Just made sure I stayed in the shade and we’ll hydrated. It was fine, I enjoyed it. But it’s your call!

If you don't want to go then don't. You don't need a reason - but what you've said here sounds reasonable

Just explain that you're struggling with the heat right now and you'd rather pass.

I don't think that's an unreasonable excuse :)

God yes. My oh duh s hole in the sand for my belly, and lined it with a sarong. Being a front sleeper it was the first good sleep I’d had in months!
Make sure you have lots of shade and water. Enjoy your day!

Or even dug a hole....
just read your post properly, I think being heavily pregnant is a good reason not to be put on the heat all day.

Namechange128 · 23/05/2018 15:12

People are pregnant in very hot places, beaches are perfectly wisd - and if you get hot, the ocean is right there to cool down in! However it's also totally reasonable not to want to do the trip, pregnant or not, so if I felt like you did, I'd just say no thanks, I'm really feeling the heat, and leave it at that.

RatherBeRiding · 23/05/2018 15:13

I hate the heat and I wouldn't enjoy that trip even without being 33 weeks pregnant!

Just say you're struggling a bit at the moment in hot weather and don't think it's wise.

@ohyesiam your oh is amazing! I am so going to do that!! 😁

Oysterbabe · 23/05/2018 18:05

Not wanting to go somewhere is a perfectly fine reason not to go. Just tell them you think you'll be hot and uncomfortable so don't fancy it.

@Ohyesiam what an amazing idea!!!
