Hi- I only got my BFP on Monday am I know it was quite early but I started having morning sickness on Wednesday and every morning since.

I have had two mc, one ectopic and one miscarriage at 8 weeks.

I am worried because I ma having cronic period like pains, not on a particular side, kind of in the middle and I am incredibly bloated..

Has anyone else had this, does it sound normal as I am worrying!!

It can be normal, yes. I had terrible cramps for 4 or 5 days and took a lot of aspirin (whoops). The cramps are now nearly one.

It's so hard as there is really very little difference between pregnancy symptoms and PMT type symptoms. Cramps are very normal early on, so try and relax and just take it easy. I tested at 4 weeks for ds and the down side was a lot of worrying until I got to 12 weeks.

Hope you are ok

Hi Bluebell!Congrats on the BFP! With all 3 dds I never felt that my period was MORE likely to arrive than when I was pregnant. Seriously, I had the worst period pains ever when af would have been due. Read somewehere on here that midwives used to call them 'bedding in' pains - which sounds nice and reassuring!

Hi everyone, thanks for the support, I am just worrying but they really feel like AF pains! I have taken two further tests today and they are bold positives.. so fingers crossed

Congratulations bluebell. I had dreadful cramps with DD3 (can't remember with the other three ). I was absolutely convinced it was AF on her way so didn't do a test until I was a week late. Even had the PMT mood (although that may have been because I thought I wasn't pg, LOL). She's 5 weeks old now

I had very bad cramps (couldn't sit still with them) and a small amount of bleeding very early on in my pg. Ds is 6 months today so yes, it can be absolutely normal!

Congratulations! This must be a worrying time for you with your previous losses but wishing you a trouble free pregnancy this time.

Good luck bluebell, I had mc at 9 weeks, spent all my next pregnancy worrying every second of the day so I know how you feel. Now have lovely dd age 4.
Wishing you all the best

I think it's one of the things that Drs & midwives should emphasise, how alike early pregnancy & a period being due can be. I kept saying to my friends the first time my period's just coming for about 6/8 weeks, those with kids all said I was clearly pg. I was nearly 9 weeks by the time I found out 'cos I was so certain it was just a bit late!
