Just need a whinge. Im 9 wks with a terrible cold and now a migraine. Im getting so fed up. I think knowing there is medicine that would help but im not allowed makes it worse.
Cold ice pack and paracetamol are just not touching it.

I suffer chronic migraines but was told that I could take sumitriptan if it was particularly bad migraine. They have limited research as it's unethical to test on pregnant women but it's one of those "if the benefits out-way the potential harm" then it's allowed. I don't know about you but when I get a migraine the pain is unreal, I get sick, forget words and need to be in the dark until it passes which it almost never does without medication. I'm only 8 weeks and migraines are definitely my biggest worry for this pregnancy!

I suffered terribly from migraines for many years and the first trimester was awful, i had them frequently. But after around 16 weeks i havent had one and im 34 weeks now! Once youve got an attack theres not much you can do, i found showers soothed them, sleep and water until it passed. And i got my DH to give me eye and head masages which i found helped.

I suffer with migraine and got them badly up until 18 weeks and then nothing since (now 34 weeks)
I found that drinking some caffeine and sugar helped i.e a small amount of full fat coke, I found x2 dissolvable paracetamol taken in the full fat coke to be more effective than taking normal paracetamol on their own. My GP gave me some codiene but it didn't help so I didn't take it.
I also found the ice pack and cold flannel and 4head rub offered some relief.
I also bought this which I found better than 4head and still use it now for the odd headache I get.
