I’m 39 weeks pregnant today and following a growth scan this morning, I’m going to be induced on Friday.
I opted to have a sweep to try and help and midwife noticed I had a bit of thrush whilst doing the sweep.
She took a swab to check but prescribed pessary and cream anyway.
The swab was really painful (the sweep was ok). It felt like she was using a brush not a delicate thing like a cotton bud.
Anyway, ever since, going for a wee is extremely painful. Feels like I’m passing glass.
Has anyone else had the same after a sweep/swab?
I’m more inclined to think it’s the swab that’s caused the irritation, but can’t see why it would have caused this.
