Fundal height at 40 weeks

Wondering if anybody can reassure me as I'm feeling a bit anxious!

Had a midwife appointment today at 40 weeks. Fundal height was measuring 38cm which I know is ok, but I'm a bit concerned as measurement was also 38cm at my last appointment (with a totally different MW) at 38 weeks....

Today's MW didn't say anything and I only realised afterwards when checking my notes. Should I be trying to call tomorrow and pushing for a growth scan? Baby is engaged and has dropped since last time so hoping that might be why?

Any advice appreciated!

Personally I wouldn't worry so long as movements are ok - I wouldn't expect the tape-measure-over-the-bump technique to be 100% accurate, especially if done slightly differently by different people.

Growth scans at term are really inaccurate. Ive got sent for one both times but I knew it was because baby was well engaged.

You'll be measuring less because your baby has engaged and moved into your pelvis, that's totally normal! Good luck for the birth

Here's a pic to show you
