Am I pregnant?

Okay, so I am about a week late for my period. I have taken two tests within the past week and both have come up negative. However, I have been feeling really nauseous and tired and super hungry (like eating everything in my path hungry). I know that these could simply be signs of pms, but I'm never late so I can't help but think I could be pregnant. Could this be possible even though both my tests were negative?

Impossible to tell to be honest, all you can do is keeping testing every couple of days if your AF doesn't come and see what happens. Good luck.

I was thinking about trying another one in about a week. I think I'll get an accurate result by this time.

Get a first response test (gold standard).

From my own experience of being in your shoes, it's more than likely a late period. But start with the first response. If it's negative, then you're definitely not pregnant. I wouldn't waste my time with other tests.

Do you know any other reasons for late periods? I don't have irregular periods and I never have late ones.

Are you doing the test with your first wee of the morning?

Dennyc · 21/05/2018 19:20

I did my first one in the morning, but the second one was in the afternoon. I did the first one a few days after my missed period and the second two days ago.

My first pregnancy it was 10 after missed period I got a faint positive, I started bleeding 2 days later and was told I’d miscarried.

I also had a late period a couple of month before that. My Gp said it was likely a very early miscarriage but they could never prove it because I never got a positive test

Make a doctors app and they can take bloods and confirm that way. Sometimes it takes longer for the HGC hormone to appear in urine x

I'm so sorry to hear that :(
Thank you for the advice though, I may just go and make a doctors appointment to make sure sooner rather than later.

Lots of things can delay your period from stress through to illness. Sometimes if you want to be pregnant desperately you can prevent a period from happening despite not being pregnant. The mind is a powerful thing.

Testing a week after your period is due wouldn’t bring up a false negative in all likelihood. Try a first response test first thing in the morning and if it’s negative, you have your answer.

I have had delayed periods for no real reason, it happens sometimes. I’ve never had a false negative, negative has meant negative.
