Office wear

I'm 21 weeks and my work trousers nó longer close. I work in an office and need to look professional but I don't want to spend the money for a pare of maternity work trousers as I only have 3 month's left until I go on maternity leave and this is my last baby so it's just a waste of money.

I have afew dresses I could wear with black tights and shoes.

Someone suggested I could also wear leggings? I usually wear leggings with trainers and a t shirt, any suggestions on how I can dress them up for the office? Can you wear shoes (flats) with leggings??

Depends on your office - where I work is relatively casual but you could only wear leggings with a dress or long tunic, even when pregnant.
3 months is quite a while to be uncomfortable, and you'll only get bigger - I'm pregnant with my last baby and have still picked up a few things, they are quite cheap at places like Fara Kids or on eBay or I have these from ASOS - only £16 with the current 20% off code and can wear them with all my existing tops. m.asos.com/asos-maternity/asos-maternity-ultimate-ankle-grazer/.

I bought a great pair of trousers from H&M last year for my holidays, which I think would be perfect for you.

They're black, wide legged jersey trousers with an elasticated waistband. You could wear this under the bump if you have long legs, or over the bump probably if you don't. You could team these with a nice floaty blouse and still look smart :)

They're similar to these ones: www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0612075008.html

Are you on any parenting or breastfeeding groups on Facebook? I am in a few and people are often giving away bundles of maternity clothes either free with collection or for only a few pounds. Might be worth a look for a few more options? I wore very long floaty blouses or dresses with leggings and flats to work when pregnant but I'm a teacher in a fairly relaxed school so didn't need to look too formal.

Could you eBay some maternity work trousers? That's what I did - cost me £4 and perfect fit (for now at least!). Otherwise leggings and flats might be okay (personally I'm not sure I'd get away with it in my workplace but they might be more lenient in pregnancy) but is team them with a smart blazer to make it less informal. I've also got one or two lively maternity dresses and maternity skirts from eBay that are very smart; the pencil skirts ftom blooming marvellous (mothercare) fit surprisingly well and are very comfy yet smart! If you can fine one in your size on eBay that might be a winner!

Thanks for all the replies. I'll have a look on ebay tonight. Might get a good deal :)
