Has anyone got pregnant on the mini pill before!!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and just thought I would ask if anyone had gotten pregnant while on the mini pill and if so how far along were you when you found out.. I found out on weds that I'm pregnant, I have been on the mini pill since January so I havnt had periods and have no idea how far along I would be. I also had surgery to remove my gallbladder 3 weeks ago. I have the doctors on Tuesday I would just like to hear some similar experiences.. thank you

Yep, twice. DC3 is the result of the first time and the second one sadly ended in miscarriage. It happens quite a lot on the pill, it’s the least reliable method.

It happened for me when I got pregnant with number 4. I was on the mini pill, anticonvulsants for neuralgia, anti depressants and very strong painkillers so I was really worried when I found I was pregnant with so much in my system.

I had a very early scan which showed no evidence of a baby but the next week I went back for an internal scan and all was well - I just wasn't as far along as I had thought.

After that panic it was the easiest, most enjoyable pregnancy of the five.

This will be my number 4. My littlest one is only 10 months old she will be 1 in July.. I feel really confuses at the moment and don't know how they didn't pick it up when I had my op 3 weeks ago xx

Slightly different but I conceived within hours of stopping the mini pill! Couldn't believe it when ukttasonograpther told me how many weeks/days I was!

I think they will send me off for a scan as not had a period since starting the mini pill in jan/feb.. the only reason I tested was because my friend said that the meds/antibiotics I was on may have interfered with my pill and low and behold my tests are positive (taken about 12) the pregnancy line shows up before the test line xx

Yep I was 10 weeks before I realised I was pregnant. And like you I had taken antibiotics. I had no idea that it stopped the pill working. I worked it back to the week of my antibiotics i got caught pregnant. (Stupid tonsalitus)

They would of picked it up at your pre op surely. Did you have GA? I know I when I had surgery they did a pregnancy test to make sure.

I went to the doctors today and by feel of my tummy she thinks I'm around 10 weeks. I thought they couldn't feel anything until 12 weeks 🤣🤣🤣.. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and pre op a few days before and it wasn't detected but they didn't do a pregnancy test. Yes I had GA. I was on antibiotics and morphine after surgery. I was also on antibiotics for imflamed gallbladder 3-4 weeks before surgery. They are sending me for an emergency scan xx

I wouldn't say the mini pill was the least reliable. I've been on the pill for 33 years, the mini pill for the last 15 years and I've never had a pregnancy scare.

I was leostren 20 and was fine. They changed me to the mini pill as my combined pill was making my gall bladder worse. I have loved the mini pill as old mother nature stays away but I wish I new that certain meds could affect it as my youngest is only 10 months old xx

I went to the GP yesterday to go back on the pill after giving birth last month, and she's put me on the mini pill.

I had my scan today, I almost fell off the bed when the sonographer told me o was 16 weeks I even got told we are having a boy.. what a whirlwind adventure xx

Wow!! I bet that was a shock to your system. Congratulations and I hope the shock passes soon. Xx

Yes, whilst on cerezette. I found out when I 5 or 6 ISH weeks. Unfortunately it ended in miscarriage not long after finding out, but that wasn't to do with the pill.

Shock is an understatement but everything happens for a reason and at least this pregnancy won't be as long.. I hope 🤣🤣
