Just got my results back for a Down's syndrome test I had last week Monday. Can someone please make me make sense of results

Background risk:
Trisomy 21 - 1: 1005
Trisomy 13/18 - 1: 8327

Adjusted risk:
Trisomy 21: 1:8898
Trisomy 13/18 - 1:16939

When I have dc 1 my risk was 1:26000, these results for this pregnancy seem quiet high compared to then. Could someone please make me understand them xx

It means you have 8x less chance than the average person of having a baby with T21 and about half the risk of an average person for a baby with T13/18.

Your risk goes up as you get older which is probably why it's gone from 1:26000 to 1:17000. This is only an increase from a 0.004% chance to a 0.005% chance. In other words your risk is negligible and you don't need to worry.

These results are low risk.
1:16939 means for every 16939 on average one will have Trisomy 13/18.the NHS consider you high risk with a result of 1:150 I think.

I also had a result of 1:150 which I saw after I put this post up. Will put a picture of the results if someone can help me x

You don't have a 1:150, that's just telling you anything less than that is low risk x
