Normal to look 6 months pregnant at 6+4?!

Hi guys,

So I'm 6+4 pregnant however, as the title says I look at least 6 months pregnant I presume with bloating! It gets worse as the day goes on and I'm really struggling to 'suck in' like I used to!

By no means did I have a flat tummy before I was pregnant but surely my stomach shouldn't protrude this much so early?!

Really keen on hearing from anyone else who is experiencing/has experienced this.

Tia x

I feel your pain, I'm the same! Sorry if this is TMI but I'm getting terrible constipation and I think that and the bloating are linked, mind you in ten weeks i have gone up a cup size too.. how do people find out they're pregnant when they give birth?!

Nothisispatrick · 20/05/2018 19:43

Yep sorry, it's normal. It will eventually turn into proper bump. I haven't had a flat tummy since about 6 weeks pregnant and I'm 20 now.

This is also me too! 9 weeks tomorrow and I've ballooned! Put on loads of weight last time (too much) so I'm trying to maintain healthy eating but it's so hard with nausea and craving crisps! Xx

It depends whether you are exaggerating or not. It isn't normal to measure 6 months when you're 6 weeks, no. I measured a few weeks ahead at the start of my second pregnancy. By 26 weeks I measured 42. I had polyhydramnios and had to have litres of amniotic fluid drained off. I was having to get down on all fours in the middle of the street to relieve the pressure under my ribs. It certainly wasn't helpful that other parents, online and elsewhere, repeatedly told me that they'd felt just as uncomfortable, they'd been just as big, they'd had just a tough a time and it was normal. It fecking wasn't and I got help far too late because of it.

I'm 7 weeks and feel bloated as hell. My tummy has been sticking out for at least a couple of weeks now and I'm living in jogging bottoms as soon as I get home! I think its part of the package...

Completely normal. In early pregnant the hormones slow down gut mobility so you become bloated and constipated. Try to drink lots of water.

@sneakpeek1414 Hiya, a little reassurance for you as others have mentioned ... im 7+2 and for the past weeks or so i feel like i look really pregnant ... MW said its bloating and moving organs and totally normal. Im too bloated to do any trousers up or wear fitted tops etc - its making hiding it tough but i think its cute :)

Thanks for all your responses they've made me feel a tonne better! I've been out to buy some loose fitting tops/leggings which are far comfier and making me feel happier already!

Now I know it's normal I too think it's cute Smile
