Are you supposed to 'feel' pregnant at 12 weeks?

I'm like a crazy woman on Mumsnet at the mo. My 12 week scan is next week (I'm currently 12+1) and I think the anxiety is really kicking in...but here goes...

Are you supposed to 'feel' the baby or your uterus at this stage? I don't feel anything! My stomach feels normal, no heavy feelings etc. Can anyone help?

Hi hun I'm only 9 weeks but totally understand you!! No symptoms at all, was bloated but now had disappeared. I've had 2 reassurance scans so far and all was fine but it's bizarre when it feels like nothing is in there! Nhs haven't booked my 12 weeker until I'm 13 weeks so guna be a drag!! X

Honestly if it weren't for my missed period, I wouldn't know I was pregnant and I'm almost 15 weeks. I'm bloated but even before pregnancy I had problems with being bloated constantly so this isn't new. I guess everyone is different!

I expect you're going to be fine. Congratulations!

I'm. 38 weeks and don't "feel" pregnant.

I've never felt my uterus bit I've never had a health professional show and explain exactly what I'm feeling for so wouldn't know where to start (and you tube videos aren't really a replacement for that).
I didn't feel baby move till about 20 - 21 weeks but I have a posterior placenta which helps feel earlier. Friends felt theirs between 21 and 26 weeks, the latter still being normal.

And I had a thicker waist from about 13-15 weeks but no bump till after 20 and not noticeable by others until about 28-30 and then only cause they knew.

So everything you've mentioned sounds normal.

I am so jealous...six weeks fine and being sick/feeling constantly nauseous, tired all the bloody time and sore nipples like football studs!!! I also feel bloated. I am not moaning though (grumbles are tongue in cheek).. I am 40 and feel so lucky to be pregnant.
