Thrush? Baby due soon, can I buy a pessary?

My baby is due soon and last night I was a little itchy on the outside but this morning the inside was burning during intercourse. This has not happened before during my pregnancy but it reminds me of when I had thrush last year. Last year I bought a thrush pessary and it all cleared up. Can I do that again? I don’t see my midwife until next week

If you're noticeably pregnant I doubt they'll sell it to you. Can you ring your gp and ask if the gp can leave you a prescription at reception?

They might not sell it to you, could someone else buy it for you?

Your GP should be able to give you a prescription for one

Yes, you can just buy the pessary in a supermarket. Don’t go to the pharmacy because they won’t give you it. My Midwive said it’s fine to use, just don’t use the applicator to insert it.

You can buy it off the shelf in the supermarket. Just avoid the oral tablet. Insert with fingers

Why would t you becsoldcit. I’ve had thrush throughout my pregnancy and have used pessaries regularly. 33 weeks and bought one no problem.

I used one just didn’t use the applicator and put it just inside. It helped.
