IVF and post embryo transfer

Hi,
I am 8 days post embryo transfer. Feeling angry and emotional for no good reason at all ( mainly with my husband). I also did a naughty thing today and did a pregnancy test which was negative. I wonder if anyone else has been through this madness?

Yes, I have. Don’t test now because that trigger shot you had can contain high amounts of Hcg.

Yes, I did one 7 days after transfer and it was a faint positive, but the embryo was 5 days old at implantation and I only had 6 days to go before my period was due.
But last time I tested at the same time and I got a negative, I was still pregnant though. That was without IVF though.
Did you have hormone injections before the transfer or just after? I only had after so they would have worn off by the time I came to test.

It was a frozen embryo after two months.

I have been there many many times. Don't worry about the negative test. It's more than likely just too early.

Don't test until the date they give you, the drugs you are given can cause inaccurate results before that point.

Tourist did you have any drugs pre transfer? I also had a frozen embryo but I don’t think that makes a difference to your symptoms.

PeachMelba, I was taking oestrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries.

I feel your pain.

I've had 5 ivf cycles. The first 3 were all negative. The 4th was a chemical pregnancy so I lost it after only a few days.

The 5th so far is a success and I'm 5+1 day pregnant.

Ives always tested really early as I like to see the changes if there are any. It's not for the faint hearted though and I'm having palpitations about doing my next test to make sure all is still ok.

Fingers crossed things change for you and this one is just a late implanter.

Have you been tested for immune issues? I got tested after my 3rd failed cycle and hound found I have lots of issues which are being treated with different drugs.

I have autoimmune antibodies, sticky blood, high nk cells & inability to absorb vitb & folic acid. All treatable.
