Feel like my bump isn’t growing. Do you think I’m imagining it?

I’m 39+3 so could go any time and have no concerns with movements (when baby finally starts it’s active period in the evening, always been a bit of a nervous wait until then).

But I don’t feel like I’m growing anymore. Haven’t felt any bigger for weeks. My last midwife app I was measuring 37 at 38 weeks. With my first I was measuring 42 at this point! Should I worry seeing as it’s this close to the end? I won’t see midwife again until 41 weeks if I make it that far. Obviously a lack of growth can mean problem with placenta so that’s in my mind. Or maybe I’m just gettting jittery now I’m so close?

Can you give your midwife a ring tomorrow?
They might be able to fit you in ?

I thought you see mw weekly in the last 4 weeks?

I would book with gp if you cannot see mw. No harm in getting checked over.

Sil baby stopped growing towards the end of her pregnancy so she was induced, dn was born much smaller than average baby born at that gestation but completely healthy.

Has your bump dropped now? That could explain it.

My bump dropped a few weeks ago now. Maybe that is it?
I thought I’d be seen again at 40 weeks (I’m sure this was the case with my first, I just didn’t make it) but not this time.

NICE guidelines are appointments at 38 and then 41 weeks for ladies who have had babies before.

It could well be due to baby’s position that you feel no bigger. If you are concerned, there is no harm in having an extra appointment and they can refer you for a growth scan if they are worried.
