So I've already ordered the pram and paid for it but after reading some reviews online I'm feeling a little worried 🤔 Has anyone got this pram and are happy with it? Also when I was feeling around in side I feel like I want to put a mattress inside the pram would any normal carry cot mattress fit inside here?

I'm getting one and I've only heard good things. What negative things have you heard?

I’ve got one and it’s all set up though not been used yet. Baby is overdue 😩 I did buy a cheap Moses mattress for the pram as I felt it wasn’t quite padded enough and also to try to protect the liner.

My big concern with it was the car seat, as last time (8 years ago) I had one with a base and we couldn’t seem to fit the seat correctly with just the seatbelt but we went back to Mothercare and they showed us how to fit it securely so I’m feeling a lot more positive about that now. Though I think had I thought of it I would have preferred the ease of a base.

Other than that I’m really happy with it so far, easy to push around and like how easy it is to change positions etc. Just have to wait a bit longer to use it properly 😂

I got the pram but baby’s due August. Have put it up at my dads and it seems fine :) can’t wait to use it xx

I used to work for mothercare and their own brand prams sold really well, the only thing I would say about any pram wether it’s a bugaboo to mothercares own brand, treat your pram well and it’ll treat you well lol. Avoid bumping down stairs and don’t treat the basket underneath as a shopping basket as it will start to tear and it’ll run down your tyres, My sister used to have their old style pram the expidor which is really similar to that one, she never had any problems! After the news today about fifty stores closing (and after making this mistake with Kiddicare five years ago) I would personally not be inclined to buy any big ticket items that are Mothercare’s own brand.

Oooh I've ordered the exact same one (in sand) and it's coming tomorrow! I'm a little worried too so I'm going to test it out (walk it around a few streets) and practise folding it down etc before my baby arrives in 6 weeks. I watched YouTube videos and read loads of reviews which were mainly positive before purchasing, so fingers crossed!

@Picadillypops what size Moses mattress did you buy please? Does it fit snugly?

Dollydaydream97 · 18/05/2018 08:05

@Picadillypops
Also another on what mattress you ordered 😌 I think because of the price I'm a little worried but that may just be me being silly ! I had £900 put aside for icandy but popped into mothercare to get a play mat and saw that pram and fell in love so thought I had to ! I asked a lot of questions ect and the only downfall the lady admitted was you can't replace the wheels if they go bust apparently
And my friend had this and she's complained about it non stop but like mentioned above you treat a pram well it will treat you well and I know she bumped it up and down 6 flights of stairs a day( flat) and loaded it up with shopping ect so maybe that's why she didn't get anything out of the pram

It took us a long time to choose this pram because almost every pram I looked into (even the expensive ones which I couldn't really afford) had negatives. The nice thing about the MJ is that I think it looks really similar to an iCandy for half the price, and I assume they're all made in China these days anyway! I'm sure we've made a good choice, so try it to worry too much, I'll send some photos when it arrives and let you know how easy/hard I find it Smile

@littlelemonade
Perfect thankyou 😌 Are you going to buy a mattress for the inside? As I noticed that's the only downfall in my eyes as you can feel the straps through the pram lining when it's in carry cot mode? Or can these be removed untill that mode is used ?

Hi @Dollydaydream97, yep straps can be removed (see photo) and the liner isn't toooo bad, lovely and soft but pretty thin - so I've bought a cheap mattress from eBay (79 x 36cm) to slot inside it when out and about. On the website it states not to use a mattress what so ever, I think to discourage people from using it as a sleeping space, however as we already have a crib, Moses basket and baby box so we would never use it as a substitute anyway (I think MC are just trying to cover their backs and refuse to state dimensions in case anything happened). It's so light in general and clipping it from carry cot to car seat is an absolute doddle. I've not tried it in toddler seat style yet but will have another play around later. Proof will be in the pudding when we come to use it daily but it seems great for now! My is second hand I must confess (although barely used so like new) so if it breaks I'm snookered Grin
