Hi all, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.. I've just joined mumsnet. I'm new to Oxford, just moved from London but My partner has been here for many years. We're expecting our First baby in June :)
and I just thought it will be lovely to meet other expecting mums in the area to exchange ideas, go for coffee, just chat or meet up after our babies are born and we're finally ready for that lovely glass of wine/prosecco we've been waiting on for months now.. anyone out there up for that? we could meet in the city centre xx

Welcome to Oxford. I’d really recommend the Baby Cafe groups if you are planning to BF. Really great way to meet new people. One way to make a private chat group would be for everyone to message you their number and start a WhatsApp group maybe?

Hi EmsyW, welcome on board, I'm actually 10mins drive from the city centre x I guess as I'm new to Oxford, that's the first place that pops to my mind lol but in terms of meeting I guess we could all come up with a place that's convenient and relaxing for all of us x

What suggestions have you guys got for meeting up? what do you think of starting a whatsapp group? should we start one now or after our initial meet up?
There are a few places I've been to with outside sitting space/gardens that are nice for a first meet up when we're ready as the weather is nice these days but any suggestions would be great x

Great idea. I am limited to the Westgate because I work next door and can only do during lunch hours x

Westgate has some nice places up on the roof if it's a nice, warm day!
