Curious to know when you felt those first flutters? They say you can feel them earlier after your first pregnancy 🤰

Felt them much earlier this time with DC2, around 14 weeks. And I'm a 'larger lady'.

KTD27 · 16/05/2018 18:08

Loads later and worried myself sick about it. Stupid anterior placenta this time!

Havetothink · 16/05/2018 18:21

Much earlier 2nd time, 14 weeks but had anterior placenta first time which makes a huge difference.

QueenCharming · 16/05/2018 18:22

Earlier for me too but 1st time I didn’t feel anything to 21/22 weeks and 2nd time around 18 weeks

MiniAlphaBravo · 16/05/2018 18:23

14 weeks tiny movements that I was unsure about but definitely felt it at 15 weeks. 2nd baby.

BergamotMouse · 16/05/2018 19:16

Really early with second. Think I was about 17 weeks first time but this time I've felt movement at 12/13 weeks.

NannyPlumsHair · 16/05/2018 19:20

Later with my second, very early with my first. I was really worried (I had a mc between my two) but the placenta was anterior, which meant they were harder to feel. Once she got going though they were just the same strength as my first.

TooRight · 16/05/2018 19:53

I had anterior placenta with both of mine but I felt movements much earlier with dd1. With DD2 I didn't feel movements until about 24 weeks. I went to my Dr about something else but he sent me to the triage at maternity because he thought it was very late on in the pregnancy to not feel movement. Everything was fine.

Mousefunky · 16/05/2018 19:56

I’ve always had an anterior placenta but felt movements fairly early with all of them. I am pregnant with my fourth and felt the first flutter at ten weeks. That may seem way too early but at this stage (15 weeks) I am feeling them stronger and more regularly so am certain that’s what it is rather than gas.

Icklepickle101 · 16/05/2018 19:58

Around 14 weeks and then nothing for weeks and weeks due to anterior placenta!

RNBrie · 16/05/2018 19:59

I felt them later with each one. 17 weeks, 21 weeks and 23 weeks.

Hardheadedwoman39 · 16/05/2018 20:00

I felt tiny flutters at 11 weeks - am pregnant with my third. I thought I was imagining it but the sonographer said it was possible and that the placenta was posterior so more likely to be earlier.

usernotfound0000 · 16/05/2018 20:18

2nd pregnancy and been feeling them since about 12 weeks, quite obvious now at 14 weeks. Was about 21 weeks in my first pregnancy.

DramaAlpaca · 16/05/2018 20:20

18 weeks with DC1, 16 weeks with DC2 & 14 weeks with DC3.
