BFP after IVF - do you keep testing?

I've just got my very precious BFP after years and years of TTC & numerous ivf cycles. I did have a chemical last year which was my first ever BFP.

I've seen on some forums that ladies continue to POAS until their first scan (which for me is almost 4 weeks away)

I do find the while process of testing extremely scary probably because it went wrong last year so I get extremely anxious, but then on the other hand it would be nice to have the reassurance that the line is still strong.

Any advice please?

CONGRATULATIONS on you BFP!
I personally had IVF (one fresh cycle and one FET, both BFP) and continued to test every day for about 2 weeks. I wouldn't say this is due to the IVF or any other reason, I just found it reassuring. My Dr said if you've had two positives then there is no need to test again, I was just obsessive!

Don't do it to yourself OP. I tested twice (because the first was very faint) and that's it, now 38 weeks. I suffer with terrible anxiety, had several previous losses and knew I'd make myself ill if I let myself down that path.

Thete are often posts on here from women worried sick when the test doesn't get darker each day, that sit and analyse the progression of line colour.

A positive test sadly doesn't guarantee you're pregnancy, you could still get a positive test even if something sad happens.

My mmc was over 5 weeks from when baby stopped developing until I bleed, symptoms got stronger in that time too, my spontaneous mc I still tested positive for a couple weeks after.

Today you are pregnant OP, accept that and don't try to read the future.
Congratulations on your bfp, I wish you a healthy pregnancy.

I haven't had IVF but just wanted to say massive congratulations

Thank you all!

You sound the same as me zaa I suffer with terrible anxiety too so just thinking about doing another test makes my heart race!!

It's just frustrating not knowing what's happening, I think I'm just going to have to sit tight and pray everything is going the way it should.

I got my first BFP at end of December after IUI, I continued to POAS for 4 days and then decided to go cold turkey
