21 weeks and sporadic movement

Hi all

Currently 21 weeks pregnant with DC2. Felt flutters from 17 weeks and they were often felt daily and a few times a day.

Now reached 21 weeks and I can’t say there’s been much fluttering. I have however felt some strong kicks. Only ever a couple of times and certainly not daily.

Should I be worried? No way of contacting my midwife as I’m currently on holiday abroad.

21 weeks here. Haven’t felt much at all. It’s prob too early but also do you know where the placenta is? Mines anterior (same as my 1st)so I’m expecting to feel very little again.

Cat12321 · 15/05/2018 21:29

Normal normal normal Smile

I also suspect an anterior placenta. I was exactly the same and am now 39 weeks Smile

Very normal, baby has a lot of space and is small, a change of position can mean a big change in movement patterns.

Bluebellsinthegarden · 15/05/2018 21:39

Found out today I’ve have an anterior placenta. Suspected as much as movements are nothing like as strong as my other two pregnancies at 20w.

I'm 20+2 and haven't noticed ANY pattern - it just seems to kick.me every now and again when it feels like it! Too soon to Sorry, surely, as long as movement doesn't stop altogether?

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 15/05/2018 21:55

Please get it checked if you're worried. It takes no time at all.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 15/05/2018 21:58

Sorry, just noticed you're on holiday. I'm not sure what to do in that case; a local medic with a Doppler perhaps?

Grandmaswagsbag · 15/05/2018 22:07

I really don’t think it anything to worry about at this stage. I thought they say not to expect regular movements until around 24 weeks?

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 17/05/2018 21:22

How are things now op?

ThorsMistress · 18/05/2018 07:17

Thank you all for your kind messages.

Since I posted baby has been kicking away. Kicked so hard DP felt it!
