Hey just wondered when you all felt baby move for the first time and how it feels? I'll be 18 weeks this week and everyone keeps asking me if I've felt movement yet. I think I felt some movement for the 1st time today but unsure if i was just imagining it

I think I starting feeling it this week and I'm 22wks.
I was worried as I'm only 5"2 and a size 8ish with the placenta at the back so I was sure I should be seeing it but she was moving round like crazy at 20 wk scan.

Everyone says it's like bubbles popping g so I was looking for that.
My friend from hungry said they say it's like a fish swimming in your tummy and since she said that I think I can feel a fish, usually in the early evening xx

I’m currently pregnant with DC2 and could feel fluttering around 17 weeks.

Currently 21 weeks and have felt the odd kick but nothing regular

First pregnancy was just over 20 weeks, second pregnancy around 18 weeks, but quite faint and if i hadn't experienced it before I'm not sure it's recognise it as movement.

Looking back now, I probably felt something at 17 weeks but I wasn’t too sure. From around 19 weeks, I was pretty confident I was feeling the baby move. The first movements I felt I would describe like bubbles popping. But it’s also felt like something fluttering around and fish swimming is a good description too. I’m 23 weeks now and, whilst there are no patterns to little one’s movements, I feel them fairly regularly.

Bubbles popping is how I explain the feeling i had to today to one of my colleagues but I also laughed and said maybe it's just wind haha. I can't wait for the 20 week scan to make sure baby is definitely moving around in there

I’m quite windy and the best of times so I knew the bubble popping sensation was something else Grin

I didn't feel my baby move until week 23/24 because of my placenta position. I got myself really worried and ended up having a private scan, then a few days later started feeling baby. I think everyone is different my friend felt hers at 18 weeks xxx

I am currently 19 weeks and have been feeling some movements for the past 10 days or so

Around 22 weeks I think but with your first it's difficult to know what you're feeling for.

I told a friend I'd starting lying and telling people (random strangers in Tesco etc not the midwife, obv!) I could feel it as I was so sick of them asking and she said she'd done the same!

21 weeks - after the anomaly scan.

If you have your placenta at the front it's a lot more difficult to feel movement

Reader1984 · 16/05/2018 16:45

Around 20 weeks. Definitely like bubbles. Now 22 and can properly feel it wriggling, kicking etc. every 3-4 hours. Sometimes makes me jump. It's my first.

HellaBella0 · 16/05/2018 20:49

I'm 20 weeks and have started to feel it in the last week, so somewhere between 19-20 weeks. With hindsight I think I had been feeling very faint flutters before but wasn't sure so was thinking it might be wind. Now I can feel a definite difference between this and wind though, the position is much lower down in my stomach and it feels like little taps/muscle twitches to me

21 weeks with DC1
16 weeks with DC2
