Sweep - cervix closed but bloody discharge?

I'm currently 39+3 and extremely anxious to get baby out as soon as poss, they're predicting he's going to be over 10lbs at my due date on sat and it's playing havoc with my anxiety. I just had a sweep and am really upset because my midwife said that although my cervix is soft, it's fully closed and she couldn't get a finger in. However I just went to the bathroom and had blood in my discharge, which I'm guessing is the bloody show? Now I'm confused because I thought that only happened right before you go into labour, but my midwife said that the sweep wouldn't really have any effect because of my closed cervix. Could anyone shed any light? Does the bloody discharge not mean anything? What's other people's experiences with sweeps?

I had a bloody show after my sweep last week - I'm now 5 days over and no sign so I don't think it necessarily means anything.
Is the baby predicted to be big from growth scans? They aren't that accurate tbh. And there's plenty of threads saying bigger babies can come out easier because gravity helps! That's what I'm hoping for anyway!
