Brown spotting 5 weeks pregnant

Hi everyone would love to hear you opinions and experiences good or bad. I had a MMC in November discovered at 11+4 after a tiny amount of spotting, with that pregnancy I had had no spotting at all up to that point.

I am now 5 weeks pregnant, I had my HCG levels and progesterone tested a week ago and both were high, HCG was 670 at 14dpo and progesterone 132. I have an early scan booked for 6+3 so I'm aware there's nothing really I can do now until then. Last night just before bed I noticed a stain of wet brown discharge. A few days ago I had had a similar thing. Only about the size of a ten pence piece and haven't had anything overnight. Is this something to worry about?

I'm worried this is a sign that all is not well.

I had this in my second pregnancy only. It is very common. DS is now 9.

I'm 6 weeks and 6 days and for about two weeks now I've been having brown spotting every day, I ended up in my local early pregnancy unit where they did a scan and the baby is fine, they said the brown spotting was coming from the ovary that the egg came out of as it was realising hormones.

I went for a private scan on Thursday and discovered I also have a bruise under where the baby is but still the baby is fine, I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and the bruise was already starting to go away. I'm still having brown spotting but it's getting less and less each day now.

Thank you both for replying it does make me feel better to know it can happen and not be anything sinister. At the moment I'm just focussing on getting to the scan but that's not until next Friday. I keep telling myself if I do get that far at least I'll know what's happening (for then at least!)
