Every night am up 4/5 times a night to go to the loo then, am up at 7 even on my days off. Am Starting to feel like a zombie.
I don't know what to do, can the doctor give me owt to try and make me sleep better?
Am starting to feel really down and low about it.

How far along are you? The doctor won't give you anything in the first trimester, but on the plus side exhaustion tends to ease off slightly in the second trimester.

Is there any way you can take a nap when you get home from work?

K9pal7 · 15/05/2018 10:45

Am 22 weeks. I try to nap when i can but it just seems to make me more tired

Bit further along then. Could it be anaemia? Have you been tested? Might be worth seeing the doctor to check, if not. Or else he could sign you off work for a few days so you can try to feel less zombie-like. Hope you find a solution xx

Thanks, going have to make an appointment. I expected the tiredness when found out i was pregnant but didn't expect to be this tired still. It might not help having to go to the loo a few times in the night 😕. It gets to 7/730 and i just want to be in my bed. My boyfriend is very supportive and he doesn't seem to mind as much which makes me feel better.

That's good :) my OH is supportive too.

I know what you mean about getting up so much in the night. I'm 19+2 and the last few nights I've "only" had to get up twice, it's like some sort of miracle (of course now I'm panicking that it means something is wrong lol). Good luck at the doctor's.

I was given Phenergan antihistamine tablets around the same stage because I couldn't sleep. While they worked, they're pretty powerful and I found out if I took too much I couldn't function the next day. Might be worth a chat with your doctor if you're desperate.

Thank you. Good look in your pregnancy @TinytTerror1 nothing is wrong, wish i was still only going twice 😂 suppose it comes with the pregnant having to go in night. Hopefully they'll be able to do sometimes

That sounds rough OP. Have you tried limiting fluid in the evening? I try to load up on liquid during the day and drink little in the evening and I can make it through the night most nights now at 23 weeks when I was up as often as you first trimester. I think it can just be hormones though or maybe baby happens to be close to your bladder quite early on Sad

Hi OP,
This was me, drained didn’t cover it. I was sleeping from 6pm-5am without a problem. I ended up complaining three times, the last time more forcefully and I now have the iron tablets and it’s soooooo much better!!! Honestly the change takes about 5 days but now it’s lots better. I’m 21 weeks.
Hopefully it’s as easy as this for you!

K9pal7 · 15/05/2018 21:17

@Milknosugar1 glad am not the only one Smile.
@Smelljo i have tried that, try not drinking much or very little after 7ish but sometimes I don't finish work till 8 and sometimes 9 then having something to eat i always need a drink with it.
I might try booking an appointment at my doctors and seeing what they say or advice and hopefully it'll start to get better soon. I keep saying to my boyfriend I'll be going to bed with the baby you'll never see me then 😂

I was like this then my mum said to eat more iron rich foods; red meat, raisins, dried apricots, broccoli etc. I literally felt so much better within 24hrs! Am now making sure I eat iron plenty foods each day and feel much much better! Even with needing to wee 5 times a night!! X

K9pal7 · 16/05/2018 09:32

@Smilingthru i never thought about iron rich foods. I'll have to give that a go and see how i feel
