Bra help?

I can't ignore it any longer, I need bigger bras. Help?

Do I need "maternity bras"? Underwired/non underwired? Surely not nursing bras yet?

I suspect I need measuring? Or shall I just order lots and try them? I'm usually a 32c or 30d. I would also like to not spend a fortune.

Hi bumble,

How far along are you? I bought a great bra called the Mumba bra. It is so ridiculously comfortable! It comes in 3 sizes and is designed to grow with you during pregnancy and then works as a maternity bra too. It has removable padding so you can have it padded until your milk comes in. It’s not wired but surprisingly supportive. And not too hideous!
I sound like I’m their sales rep but really, I am just so impressed with this bra. I am upset when I have to wash it and put a normal bra on!

Sorry that should be it can be used as a nursing bra too

This is a good site for measuring yourself at home if you don't want to go and get measured:
booborbust.com/

I'm 17 weeks, I thought boob growth had slowed but no...

Thanks @seabiscuit I'll have a look. And thanks @bluebirdsky I would much prefer to measure myself. Just a bit overwhelmed with too many choices ATM.

Sports bras where the best for me. Didnt matter of they grew more.
And they are defo so comfortable x

I bought some maternity bras from m&s and they are so comfy. I actually bought them before I realised I was pregnant as I had surgery to pin and plate 3 ribs and my scar runs right along the band of my bra. I didnt bother going back as I found out I was expecting 2 weeks after surgery!

BumbleNova · 15/05/2018 10:03

@ilovechocolate does that not look weird under clothes? I need to look smart for work.

@peanut91 what are maternity bras? Are they normal bras without underwired? The ones I've seen in m&s seem to have clips and look like they are for nursing?

No it looked fine. As some of them had padded support so you couldn't see any nips 😁.
And some of the sports bras have very thin straps so could wear it with anything even a dress. .
I wore them throughout my pregnancies and they were so comfy. I brought maternity bars which used to annoy me and get uncomfortable.
Sports bras are cheap comfortable and could sleep in them and not be in Any pain.

Hope you find something soon xx

Just to warn you if you're anything like me you may need to be fitted twice during your pregnancy. By the time I was about 17 weeks I had gone up a cup size and was fitted. Then by the time I was about 30 weeks my rib cage area had expanded and I needed to switch to non-wired and go up a back size and it's still uncomfortable tbh. Then I will need nursing bras later too! It's bloody expensive, I've never spent so much on bras in my life. I got fitted at Debenhams initially, and then Bravissimo for maternity bras, would recommend either but especially Bravissimo if you're a D+ although that tends to be even more pricey but the service is absolutely excellent.

Check out Molke bras. I wont wear anything else now
