I'm emetophobic and have had 2 HG pregnancies with sickness throughout. Lots of love and sympathy to you. It is shit, but you can survive it.

peachesarenom · 13/05/2018 19:53

jamoncrumpets I didn't know it had an actual name. It makes me very worried. I have eaten so many bowls of cornflakes and so many crackers to avoid it. I don't think it's HG as then I wouldn't have managed to avoid it so far. Just very upsetting!

Some days I'm not sick. But I wake up feeling nauseous every morning. It's incredibly hard. But it does end. Eventually.

I have emetophobia and just explained it to my dr who prescribed me some anti emetics which I took when the feeling got unbearable.

FireAndRain45 · 13/05/2018 20:39

I'm nearly 7 weeks and emetophobic too.
Had a lot of nausea over the last week and I'm struggling too. I also have antiemetics in case it gets too much (was already on these pre pregnancy and doc gave me the ok to take them as and when needed).

I'm managing ok at home but I'm scared about going out and being sick when out. So worried I'm going to turn into a hermit and set myself back with the phobia which I've worked really hard on Sad

For me it ended when baby was born. You have my sympathy

Mousefunky · 13/05/2018 22:06

They claim 12 weeks but I was vomiting every day until around 16 weeks with my DS. I am 15 weeks pregnant atm and still have night time nausea but it has definitely got better since around week 13. For some people it lasts until the end.

Mine has just stopped and I'm 13 weeks tomorrow. I feel your pain! Fingers crossed it subsides and you can enjoy this pregnancy x

RosieCotton · 13/05/2018 23:15

I feel for you and wish o had good news. I also suffer with emetophobia. I'm convinced it is how I will die. Im currently 30weeks pregnant and still vomiting upto 15 times a day. I did speak to the doctor and was given some anti sickness tablets which helped for awhile. I hope your sockness passes quickly but my advice is font suffer in silence. Speak to your doctor if needs be x

Pregnancy sickness support

Herewegoagain56 · 14/05/2018 15:41

Mine was at its worst 8-10 weeks, I started getting some improvement at 11 weeks and by 14/15 weeks it was gone. I found it so difficult but just focus on getting through each day and it will soon be a distant memory!

peachesarenom · 14/05/2018 17:31

Thank you all so much! Currently sugar free 7up seems to be helping!

28 weeks and the nausea/vomiting is very much still here! it did get a bit better for me after 20 weeks though so fingers crossed :-)

Just take each day as it comes, you can do it :-) It is so horrible to have the exhaustion/nausea/vomiting in the first trimester. Much sympathy for you.
