Hi, i'm a very worried mum. Its my 2nd pregnancy and i had a bleed at 15wks. stayed in hospital but scan showed baby ok but low lying placenta with subchorionic haemorrage. have had spotting most days since another scan on wk 17 showed baby growing fine. Can't feel baby move yet so find it really hard not to panic. been signed of work as am too anxious. Anyone had similar problems? x x

I had this. On and off spotting (and sometimes major bleeding! ) most of the way through the pregnancy

ds was also very late at kicking so all in all it was a scary 9 months

he's 20 months old now though and a gorgeous little boy. had a fantastic birth experience and he's been a star ever since.

try to relax. enjoy having to rest and put your feet up. make the most of it. I did and I'm so glad I did when I look back now!

xx

I bled through both my pgs - ds was similar to mylittlestar's story - small bleed at least 2/3 times a week. They eventually (2 days before I gave birth...) diagnosed cervical eroision, but diagnosed every other bleeding thing (pun intended...) up til then - inc low lying placenta.
My doc signed me off work, mostly to stop me running around like a mad thing
DS is now 3 - all fine.

Dd - I only had a couple of bleeds. But again, everything fine.

If baby's growing fine, I'm sure everything's ok - put your feet up and think calming thoughts....

I'm 22+6 weeks and have this, aka placenta praevia. I have had 2 big bleeds, one at 17 weeks and one at 21 weeks, plus spotting/brown discharge in between. You do need to take things slowly and easily, avoid internals where possible (and for goodness' sake don't let your doctor do a smear, as mine did, not that I actually 'let' her ) but at your stage you have a very good chance that the growth of the womb will make the placenta 'stretch' uöp and away from the cervix. Good luck.

I am now 38+2 and was diagnosed with placenta previa at my 20wk scan. I also had a few bleeding episodes. Al I can suggest is that it happens to lots of women and try to stay calm. MY consultant was adamant that my placenta wouldnt moveso much so he booked my c-section and last week found that the placenta had moved. So try and not fret I know easier said than done but do avoid any heavy lifting and sex as that will help with the bleeding.

wow, just logged on and read all those messages, It is reassuring to know that people have had bleeding in 2nd trimester as most things say its going to be in 3rd. glad you all turned out ok. Feel a lot more positive thanks for the support.
