There are so many options, what did you find best to soothe your baby? Any particular brands I should be looking at? TIA

My main recommendation would be to look second hand. Facebook sites, car boots or nearly new sales. These things are much of a muchness and are only used for 5 minutes. You'd be mad to pay full price IMO.

Depends on the baby! Some like to be rocked, some like to be bounced and some will just scream whatever you put them in!

Best waiting until you know which type of baby you will get. My idea of what I needed and my baby's idea of what it actually wanted were very different.

Totally agree with pp - don’t buy anything new. I got a baby Bjorn bouncer at a nearly new sale five years ago. DD loved it and it has made its way around her various cousins before coming back to us for DC2.

Yes, don’t buy new. I got a baby Bjorn bouncer for 25 on Shpock and they retail at £100+ and also a vibrating one for £5 at a boot sale Grin
