Hi all
I’m hoping someone here can help me or give me some reassurance.

So I got my BFP 4 weeks ago so thought I was 8 weeks. I am sure of when I got my BFP as I was in india with my husband! Went for a scan today and they couldn’t see anything other than pregnancy and yolk at first. Then they did an internal and found baby and a heartbeat. I had to hold my breath for her to see the heartbeat as so small.

I was initially relieved but now I’m worrying baby isn’t growing as they should? Does anyone have any advice? The nurses at the hospital did not seem concerned and that I should see the heartbeat etc as good news.

I think I’m going to book a private scan next week as I also don’t ‘feel’ pregnant anymore.

Any help? Anyone had this?

Is there any chance you might be earlier than 8 weeks? That may be the reason x

Did they do any measurements to date the pregnancy.

For various reasons sometimes an internal is needed for a clearer view, it doesn't necessarily mean anything regarding the health of the pregnancy.

All sound good to me. You cannot tell exactly when the egg implanted. I know exactly the day I conceived my son but the dating scan put me at 6 days wrong so that's no way to tell. If the nurses weren't worried then I would suggest everything is fine. The chances of any early problem goes down massively once you have seen the heartbeat.

If it will be reassuring then of course go for the scan but please try not to worry too much.

At 8 weeks baby is still tiny! About 2cm. At 6 weeks it would only be about 8mm. Try to relax! Heartbeat is fab news Smile

Sorry I meant to put they are dating the pregnancy at 6 weeks, but I got a BFP 4 weeks ago so how can that be possible? :-(

They date it from the start of your last period, would that make sense with your dates?

Rachbones1992 · 12/05/2018 20:13

No I’m now 8 weeks from my last period :-/ the dates don’t add up at all so now even though we have a heart beat in nervous things aren’t growing as they should :-(

My app worked me out to be 7 weeks pregnant from my last period date and ovulation date but I'm only 5 to 6 weeks from what was said at my private scan on Thursday, only explanation the lady performing the scan could say was that I could have ovulated late that cycle
