Hi,
Hoping to meet some ladies in a similar situation. When I say obese I mean properly obese, not just a bit chubby.
Im size 26 and 7 wks pregnant with my first.
I would really appreciate advice, tips, etc.
Hope to find some new friends.

@Pob13
I know exactly what you mean about being sweaty in skin folds.
What I did was use maternity towels folded up lengthways so that the sticky bit stuck together (if that makes sense) and put it against the wound. I changed it 2 or 3 times a day and never had any issues with healing at all.
Another thing I did as I was so paranoid about getting an infection was using alcohol wipes along the cut every day at bed time (actually my husband did it for me as it was hard to hold my belly up and then wipe). Disclaimer - I'm not advising you do this by the way as I have no idea if it's a good thing but my scars healed really well, no infections etc, I think everyone that saw it was surprised how well it healed.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Feeling a bit down that ladies who are the same amount of weeks as me are seeing bumps already. I cant imagine seeing a bump for ages with all the flab in the way.

I can feel a bump under my flab but certainly can't see one!

Hi ladies can I join? I know it's been a bit quiet but I am 6+5 weeks with my second and 13 stone 10 (5foot5). I shot up tp over 16 stone with my first and swore I would never do that again as I hate all photos of myself when he was born, but it looks like I am doing the exact same thing again. I lost 4 stone after my first was born but when I fell pregnant again I put two and a half back on (sadly ended at 16 weeks) and I didn't lose it again. Really cross with myself. Just got back from holiday with DHs family and some of the photos are mortifying. I knew I was big, but I look unrecognisable. It's so frustrating.

Hello!

I'm 28 and 5 weeks pregnant, my bmi is 35.5.

I was underweight for my first pregnancy ten years ago, now overweight for this one.

Haven't seen a midwife yet, only my GP. My weight wasn't mentioned.
I'm hoping the midwives I see don't guilt trip me for it as I already do enough of that for myself.

Im the same @Pepper123123 I had to do the glucose test with my first and the last pregnancy they talked about my weight a lot. I know it's going to be mentioned a lot with this one when I do see the midwife

I’m 7 weeks and a size 22. This baby three for me and the largest I’ve been in my whole life. I’ve been trying to record what I eat and keep it slightly under what I excerise based on my Fitbit. This has worked well for two weeks but this weekend I knocked out by tiredness and haven’t been recording food.

I’m having a very early GTT in two weeks and booked in for a dating scan this week. I’m looking at having a private home birth but this will depend on the cost. I’m not in the UK so no public home birth options are available for me.
