Has anyone experienced this? I am six weeks pregnant. I've had no bleeding and only mild cramps.

Sonographer diagnosed the SCH on my latest ultrasound, but she gave me no more information. She only told me not to worry.

What is the likely outcome? I've read early diagnosed hematoma a have a worse outcome...

Hi there! I had quite heavy bleeding but mild cramps for 10 days and they told me I had a haematoma. I was off work for 2 weeks and just went back yesterday. I am roughly 10-11 weeks now. They scanned me a few times to keep an eye on it but seemed happy that the baby was ok and heart beat strong. It seems to be more common than you would think but try not to worry and avoid reading online accounts if you can as they had me worked up too!!
As far as I can tell just take it easy and avoid sex and anything that will contract your uterus.

Hope all goes well for you Flowers

I’ve had spotting and bleeding on and off. I’m 7+4 and two scans have shown a subchorionic haematoma. Sonographer/EPU team seem unperturbed by it so that’s reassuring.

My friend had this. She kept having bleeds on and off til around 24 weeks was signed off and monitorred. She now has a healthy 7 mo baby 😊 her first bleed was around 6 weeks too so hope thats a positive story for you. Good luck!!

I had it with my first pregnancy. Had tons of bleeding on and off from 6 weeks (a huge one at 11) and then bled old brown blood until 14 weeks. All was fine. Don't google!

I had bleeding from 8 weeks until 13. Massive bleeds, really thought there was no way I could still be pregnant but all was ok. By 16 weeks it had disappeared.

I had one at 6 weeks, it was picked up at an early scan due to bleeding. I’m now 40+4 wks pregnant and waiting for baby to arrive!

My boss had this. She had a big bleed and sonographer told her she would probably miscarry and got her hysterical. The miscarriage came with her to the office a few weeks ago, a stropping 2 year old toddler.

Thank you so much all. All these tales are reassuring!!

Yes! I had one at 8 weeks. Thought for sure it was a miscarriage - went to EPU and got scanned and there was a heartbeat! The bleeding stopped within a couple of days and I had no more bleeding and now have a beautiful 5 month old.
