Snuzpod with Angelcare movement monitor

Has anyone used the Snuzpod with the Angelcare movement monitor?

I didn't really think of the set up when I bought them both - now I'm not sure how to combine the two.

Any advise would be a massive help - I'm 41 weeks today and feel like I've left this a bit a late :-/

Thanks in advance :-)

Given that the baby is directly next to you in the Snuzpod, making it one of the safest places that they could possibly sleep, why would you need an Angelcare monitor?

I'm talking about the motion sensor - for those times when I'm asleep.

FTM and it would just ease my mind.

I know you are, and I was pointing out that you will be reducing SIDS risk factors dramatically simply by using the Snuzpod correctly. Angelcare monitors can cause more problems than they solve with false alarms etc.

Hopefully someone will be along who can help.

I could not get my angelcare monitor working with a snuzpod. It was a blessing in disguise. I'd used it for dc 1 and 2 in cots but we'd bought the snuzpod for dc3. Even if you could get it to work there is no way of safely securing the cable and you'd run the risk of the baby getting tangled in it.

I would honestly return the monitor if you can, the motion pad doesn't really help in SIDS situations anyway but does result in false alarms and then at some point you have to make the decision to stop using it which is a drama in itself.

Snuzpods are amazing though. Don't ditch that because of the monitor.

Just in support of the monitor. We have an Angelcare one too ( in a cot) and we have never had a false alarm. I've found it massively reassuring and I know I've slept much better knowing it's working and in place.

I used an angelcare monitor with my snuzpod with no problems. Just place the angelcare monitor board on top of the base of the bassinet of the snuzpod (in the centre, under the mattress and cloth part) and the wire peeks out from under the cloth part of the bassinet. Worked perfectly for me and I will be using both again this time round - no false alarms and always went off when I picked baby up but forgot to switch off the alarm so I knew it was working.
